VP of Production Department
Production and Logistics Job Purpose Summary
Responsible for the purchasing and procurement of all materials and components in mainstream production Technical Responsibilities & Accountabilities - Facilitates the successful purchasing of materials and components for the current production forecast and demand model.
- Clearly communicates the status of all key vendors to the VP of Production and the management team as required.
- Provides clear and concise supply chain information to the VP of Production.
- Ensures all component and supply chain network delivers on time.
- Ensure the orginisation meets or exceeds COGs targets for instruments and consumable products.
- Informs the VP of any issues and contingencies to remain on track against customers’ demands.
- Ensure that all NPD projects meet timeline and cost models as they come on stream.
People Responsibilities & Accountabilities - Mentors and facilitates successful supplier behavior within and across all functional areas of Mendor Oy.
- Provides coaching, feedback, and high levels of communication to the production team.
Quality & Compliance Responsibilities & Accountabilities - Establish role modeling of quality as part of your every day role within the team.
- Responsible for meeting and effectively ensuring all vendor compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure cGMP is employed and maintained to a high standard

mature and domestically secure. Able to spend up to 5 nights away per
month without upsetting domestic situation. Able to commute reliably to
office base. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
Travel to vendors and suppliers facilities which are located in the Far
East. Computer Skills Must be adept in use of all office software including Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV ERP system an advantage but not essential.
Literacy & Numeracy Highly
competent in communicating via presentations & technical reports to
Executive Management. Understands Budgets and P&L Accounts and
process capability reports. Management Ability
Ability to define procurement strategies that meet COGs targets.
Selection of alternative supply chain partners who have flexibility of costing and high volume expertise. Qualifications Essential
Degree in Science or Business Management or 7 years’ experience in a purchasing or supply chain manufacturing position. Experience Has a proven track record of operating Medical Devices & Diagnostics Industry – preferably in blood glucose monitoring.
