Summer is almost at its end and days are getting shorter. Luckily this has no correlation to what's happening at Mendor offices in these days. We have been extremely busy pretty much the whole summer, preparing for our upcoming product launch in the autumn.

In the end of July we finally received a CE-mark for our BGM device. This was great news since it wasn't an easy process in any way. We founded the company in December 2005 so according to my math it took approx four and a half years to get to this point. How time flies...

There's been a lot of late hours, sweat and tears along the way but also a lot of great fun while working with such genious and funny guys and girls as we have at Mendor. We are extremely proud and happy of our CE- mark and threw a good party with the whole staff to celebrate this in Helsinki.

Great news was also that BGM industry super-star, Mr Paul Mordente started as our new CEO in the beginning of August. Lately we have been working long hours with Paul and been very productive, interesting things ahead and a lot of planning and excecution to do. We also noticed that Finns and Scottish people are somewhat similar in terms of nationality related characteristics, so we are getting a long very well.  :)

Soon we will be participating the annual EASD (largest annual European diabetes fair) which is being held this year in Stockholm, Sweden in the end of September. We will be hitting EASD with a killer stand and a killer agenda, wait and see!

Mendor was selected among upcoming and leading top 30 high-growth privately held Nordic companies.

Today I went to present Mendor at NTT (Nordic Tech Tour) 2010 local event hosted at Finnveras facilities in the center of Helsinki. Mendor had been selected as one of the presenting companies (one of top 30....) just some weeks before. There were approximately 70 delegates (including leading local corporations, international VCs and policy makers) onsite. I was definitely suprised that there were so many people present already from the very beginning  (this usually doesn't happen at this kind of events). NTT wasn't something I was too familiar with before but I was pleasantly surprised of all this including well organized reception.  After the opening speech and the first presenting company (There Corporation) I started my presentation.

The presentation went apparently well (based on the applause and the positive comments) and in the following Q&A session there were so many questions that we ran out of time before I was able to answer them all. Luckily I probably covered the most important ones.

After my presentation the VP of  NTT 2010 Selection Committee, Mr Jussi Harvela gave me a Nordic Tech Tour trophy (see picture below). I left the buidling to go back to our office feeling happy and waiting to tell all this great news to the rest of our team.

Alltogether taking part in NTT 2010 was a great opportunity for Mendor and we are very honored to have been selected among these very few companies.
